Don Marisch is sailing into his 80's on Monday, Feb. 11. His family is requesting a card shower in honor of this event.

Don was born in Greeley County and upon high school graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy. He then farmed for many years before moving to Grand Island where he worked for the State of Nebraska, retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicles in 1990.

His family includes his wife Karen, daughter Melinda, son Mark, daughter-in-law Linda and four granddaughters.
