John A. Meister will be celebrating his 85th birthday with a family gathering. In honor of this occasion, his family is also requesting a card shower.

John was born Feb. 5, 1923, in Greeley.

His family includes his late wife Patricia Meister; and 10 children: Mary and Ron Garver of Saratoga, Wyo.; Mag and John Iliff of Leesburg, Fla.; Annette Cheever and John Dugan of Lincoln; John and Patricia Meister, Tom Meister, Frank and Donna Meister, Bob Meister, Renee and Kerry McGrath and Jim and Tracy Meister, all of Grand Island; and the late Jeanette Meister. He has 27 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
