Rojewski becomes law firm administrative assistant
Kim Rojewski has joined the firm of Almquist, Maltzahn, Galloway & Luth, P.C., as an administrative assistant.
Rojewski attended Central Community College, where she majored in human services. As a past business owner, she brings experience to the firm in account collections, staff training, payroll and accounts payable and receivable. She will be performing various administrative services for clients.
Rojewski lives in Hastings with her husband, Jon, and daughter. They also have two sons who live in Grand Island.
Schmidt, Valasek join Family Pet Clinic
Professional pet groomers Deb Schmidt and Norine Valasek have relocated to the Family Pet Clinic, 2530 N. Diers Ave., Grand Island.
Schmidt and Valasek were formerly employed at Murray's Animal World and later Sundance Feed and Seed.
The two have spent more than 20 years in the pet grooming business.
They will be taking appointments at the Family Pet Clinic beginning Monday and can be reached at 384-6147.
Ophthalmologist Proffitt attends eye symposium
Grand Island ophthalmologist Dr. Robert Proffitt recently attended the 19th annual Park City, Utah, Eye Surgery Symposium and Seminar.
This educational meeting focused on new, safer techniques and technology in cataract/lens implant surgery. It also addressed advances in glaucoma care and refractive surgery, including multi-focal lens implants.
