CEDAR RAPIDS Joey Zwiener hit two free throws with 12 seconds remaining to lift Cedar Rapids to a 59-57 comeback win over Spalding/Spalding Academy Saturday night.

Evan McIntyre scored a game-high 21 points to lead Cedar Rapids. Colton Boesch added 11 points for Tigers (8-8).

Corey Thome's 20 points paced Spalding/Spalding Academy (9-8). Michael Pritchard and Jess Asche scored 10 apiece for the Knights.

GILTNER Giltner used a big second quarter as a springboard and went on to defeat visiting Elb 56-45.

The Hornets (15-3) trailed 10-5 at the end of the first quarter, but outscored the Bluejays 20-4 in the second quarter to take a lead for good.

Giltner's Stasia Ott led all scorers with 16 points. Teammates Lisa Lockmon added 12 points and Chelsie White had 11.
