Amy Lynn and Todd Tasich

Amy Lynn Merryweather and Todd Tasich were united in marriage by the Rev. Mark Fry on Aug. 4, 2007, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Elkhorn,

The bride is the daughter of Kent and Peggy Merryweather of rural Waterloo and the granddaughter of Ed and Darlene Andersen and Robert and Betty Merryweather, all of rural Waterloo. The groom is the son of John and Lynette Tasich of Grand Island and the grandson of Muriel Krull of Hastings.

Matron of honor was Abbie Pembleton. Bridesmaids were Jackie Merryweather, sister-in-law of the bride, and Jeni Schmidt and junior bridesmaid was Courtney Merryweather, niece of the bride. Jaime Hoskinson, cousin of the bride, was personal attendant.

Best man was Nick Tasich, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Kelly Merryweather and Kirk Merryweather, brothers of the bride. Ushers were Aaron Pembleton, Mike Winters and Brian Chamness.

Flower girls were Sydney and Kaelyn Reeves, cousins of the bride. Ringbearers were Sam Hoskinson and Mason Schultz, cousins of the bride.

A dinner and dance at the Club at Indian Creek followed the ceremony.

The bride received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and completed a master's program with the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is teaching at Dallas Center-Grimes High School in Grimes, Iowa.

The groom graduated with a bachelor of science degree from UNL. He is enrolled in the physical therapy doctorate program at Des Moines University in Iowa.

Amy and Todd have made their home in Johnston, Iowa.
