For the third week in a row, Michael Van Boening's name appears on the weekend book-in records for the Hall County Jail.
This time, the charges are driving under the influence and speeding. He was arrested at 12:30 a.m. Saturday at Locust Street and Delaware Avenue, according to the jail records.
Van Boening, 23, of 335 S. Plum St., was released Saturday on a 10 percent of $2,500 bond. He must return to court in this case at 2 p.m. Feb. 13.
This is Van Boening's second DUI arrest and third arrest in the last two weeks.
His first arrest came on Jan. 20, when he was stopped shortly after midnight near Bismark Road and Oak Street and his 8-month-old daughter was found in a car seat in the back of the vehicle, police Capt. Robert Falldorf said previously.
According to court documents, Van Boening smelled of alcohol, slurred his speech and performed poorly on field sobriety tests. A bottle of vodka was also found in the vehicle.
He was charged with DUI and felony child abuse. The case is pending in Hall County Court.
Last week, he was charged with intentional child abuse for leaving the same infant at home alone, Falldorf said.
On Jan. 27, Van Boening's girlfriend returned home from work at about 2 a.m. and found the baby unattended. She called police and Van Boening arrived shortly after officers got to the residence, Falldorf said.
Van Boening told officers he had been outside, but his girlfriend said he wasn't around when she got home, Falldorf said.
Van Boening is scheduled to be in court Wednesday for the second case.
He was released on his own recognizance for the first two arrests, but he was ordered not to have any contact with his daughter after the second arrest.
