BOULDER, Colo. -- Kelsey Griffin led three Nebraska players in double figures with a game-high 25 points to power the Cornhusker women past Colorado 80-71 Wednesday night in Big 12 Conference play at the Coors Events Center.
Griffin was stellar for Nebraska (17-6, 6-3 Big 12), hitting 8-of-12 shots from the field and converting 9-of-10 free-throw opportunities. Yvonne Turner finished with 14 points and Dominique Kelley added 10 points for the Cornhuskers, who shot 47.4 percent from the floor and made 7-of-11 attempts from 3-point range.
Brittany Spears and Bianca Smith scored 19 points apiece for Colorado (13-9, 2-7). Buffaloes' leading scorer Jackie McFarland, was limited to just one point in the contest before fouling out.
