CENTRAL CITY < Nebraska Christian Schools has planned its annual dinner and benefit auction for March 29.
The weekend event will begin with a preview night from 5:30 to 9 p.m. March 28 in the gymnasium.
The public is invited to place bids on items in the silent auction, including tools, home decor, house wares, certificates for haircuts, oil changes and tickets to sporting events.
The Saturday evening reservation-only event will begin at 5 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres and a final silent auction bidding. Grilled rib-eye steak and skewered shrimp will be served at 6:30. The Knights of Rhythm orchestra will provide dinner music. The live auction will follow at 7:30.
Items in the live auction will include an authentic Asian dinner for eight including piano and guitar dinner music, a handmade grandfather clock, a stained-glass lighted replica of the historic Administration Building at Nebraska Christian Schools and a football autographed by 2007 Super Bowl champion coach Tony Dungy.
Complimentary valet parking will be available for the Saturday evening event.
Donations are still being accepted. Call Kathy Chase at (308) 946-3836 or (308) 940-0264 to make a donation or for dinner reservations.
Seats for the dinner cost $40 each, or an entire table may be purchased for $320. Seating is limited. A tax-deductible receipt will be issued for the fair market value of all donations.
