Writer says misguided officials support amnesty

Many religious officials and politicians are misguided and want amnesty for illegal aliens, because it is the right and moral thing to do.

Mr. Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas, told his legislators - denying benefits to illegal aliens would be unchristian and un-American. Presidential candidate Huckabee now says he supports a crackdown on illegal aliens and immigration. Can this conversion be trusted when his professed faith tells him the opposite.

The pro-amnesty supporters claim the high moral ground for their brand of charity, ignoring the fate of 36 million Americans living at or below the poverty level. The fact is, illegal alien workers lower the wage of Americans.

Christian principles require that one first helps ones family, friends, neighbors and countrymen in need before the world. It is contrary to Christian charity to neglect this obligation. (1Tim5:8).

Supporters of illegal aliens like ex-Baptist minister Huckabee, Cardinal Mahony of Los Angeles and others need spiritual readjustment. Advocating so called "right" of aliens to illegally enter the United States to indulge on America's social services and depress the wages of citizens, the notion that fidelity to the Gospel requires privileging the interests of noncitizens over fellow citizens is preposterous.

In 2005, Mr. Huckabee, was the keynote speaker at the national convention of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULA) in Little Rock. Mr. Huckabee told the convention that "Arkansas needs to make the transition from a traditional Southern state to one that recognizes and cherishes diversity in culture, in language and in population."

He also told the convention that "Pretty soon, Southern white guys like me may be in the minority." Mr. Huckabee makes no distinction between legal and illegal immigration.

LULAC, MALDEF AND NCLR describe themselves as civil rights organizations and try to identify with the American black movement of the sixties. The comparison is absurd.

The above named groups, as advocates for illegal aliens, blur the distinction between citizens and noncitizens thus undermining the worth and importance of citizenship.

Without the rule of law, which these groups undermine, there can be no civil rights or rights or any kind. They promote amnesty for illegal aliens, their objective is to build Latino power and in pursuit of that goal, the law is simply an obstacle to overcome. The new supremacists in America today.
