Three join staff at Indulge Salon
Two cosmetologists and a nail technician have joined the staff at Indulge Salon and Spa, 1004 N. Diers Ave. Suite 100.
Cosmetologist LaVonne Johnson provides family haircuts and styles; coloring services, including highlights and foils; facial and body waxing; manicures, pedicures and acrylic nails.
She has 18 years experience working in salons and spas in Grand Island.
Johnson graduated from Bahner College of Hair Design and has attended numerous continuing education classes and seminars. She has also attended Peel's hair shows, the Aveda Institute in Minnesota and BioElements Education Center in Chicago.
Jessica Camplin has also joined Indulge as a cosmetologist. She provides haircuts, including wedding styles, prom styles and children's haircuts; colors; foils; manicures; and pedicures.
She has worked in full-service salons and spas for eight years.
Camplin graduated from the College of Hair Design and has attended continuing education classes. She has been honored for Top Retail Sales and as Stylist of the Month.
Jennifer Nolan is a new licensed nail technician at Indulge.
She provides manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails and ear coning.
Nolan is a graduate of the American Nail Academy with five years experience in full-service salons. She has attended many Peel's classes for continuing education.

JCPenney Salon adds Fitch as stylist
Jessica Fitch is a new stylist at the JCPenney Salon in the Conestoga Mall.
Fitch provides haircuts for men and women, as well as coloring, perms and styles.
She graduated from Joseph's College of Beauty and has attended numerous hair shows and seminars, including the Midwest Beauty Show in Chicago.

Ottman joins Real Estate Group
Ann Ottman has joined Real Estate Group of Grand Island as a real estate agent.
Ottman has been selling real estate in Grand Island full time since receiving her license in 1998. She holds the designations of Graduate-Realtor Institute and Quality Service Certified.
She was named 2007 Realtor of the Year by the Grand Island Board of Realtors and serves as chairwoman of the board's membership committee.
Ottman and her husband, Terry, are longtime Grand Island residents.
Lorenz to focus on broadband services
Charter Business has hired Eric Lorenz as an account executive.
His responsibilities will include business-to-business sales of Charter commercial broadband services.
Lorenz has worked the last 10 years in the cell phone industry, both as an agent/account executive and a wireless business consultant.
He holds an associate's degree in business administration, specializing in accounting, from Spencer School of Business.
Lorenz has earned various sales awards and is a member of the Grand Island Area Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber Ambassadors.

Millard wins award for safe driving
Jack Millard of Grand Island, a truck driver with Landstar System, has been honored as a 1 Million Mile Safe Driver.
Millard has driven 1 million consecutive miles without a preventable accident.
He is one of 116 men and women who make up the 2007 class of Landstar Million Mile Safe Drivers, who were recently honored at an awards banquet in Jacksonville, Fla. On average, it takes a truck driver 10 years to travel a million miles.
Strong inducted into Eagle's Circle

County supervisors attend state workshop
Hall County Supervisors Jim Eriksen and Pam Lancaster completed a workshop conducted by the Nebraska Association of County Officials from Feb. 6 through 8 in Kearney.
The annual county board workshop, part of a continuing education and leadership development series, provided county commissioners and supervisors with more than 12 hours of specialized training.
Among the topics addressed were human relations, natural resources, open meetings, tax increment financing, economic development and updating older courthouses. The workshop also addressed proposals being considered by the Legislature.
Lesiak, Bohnenkamp receive money merge account training
After attending a boot camp training in Long Beach, Calif., Kendra Lesiak and Sadie Bohnenkamp received United First Financial's Money Merge Account 101 Presentation and Money Merge Account 102 Analysis Certifications.
Also part of the training weekend was a VIP event to learn and share more about the accelerated equity strategies United First Financial offers to mortgage holders.
