LINCOLN ‹ The Nebraska women's basketball team returns to Big 12 North Division road action when the Huskers square off with the Kansas Jayhawks on Sunday in Lawrence.
Tip-off at Allen Fieldhouse is set for 2 p.m. with live coverage provided by ESPN360 as part of KU's package with Sunflower Cable in Lawrence.
Live radio coverage will also be provided by the 24-station Husker Sports Network, including 98.1 FM-KFGE in Lincoln, 1110 AM-KFAB in Omaha and 880 AM-KRVN in Lexington.
Nebraska, which will be playing its third road game in the last four contests, is hoping to continue its road success against North Division foes. The Huskers are a perfect 3-0 this season away from home against Big 12 North opponents, including wins at Iowa State (82-72), Missouri (73-67) and Colorado (80-71).
The Huskers, who are coming off their mid-week bye after suffering a 92-81 home loss to No. 17 Oklahoma State last Sunday, have enjoyed success following their off-week in recent years.
Over the last three years, Nebraska is 3-0 following its bye with two of those wins coming against the Jayhawks. Last year, NU defeated Kansas 63-54 in Lawrence on Jan. 13, after getting a bye in the second week of the Big 12 season.
The Huskers rolled to a 70-54 home win over Colorado on Jan. 28, 2006. NU also defeated KU, 59-48, in Lincoln on Jan. 29, 2005. Interestingly, all three of NU's bye-week wins followed on the heels of losses in its previous game.
