St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Grand Island was the setting of the Sept. 22, 2007, wedding of Kristy Borgheiinck and Kevin Essink, both of Lincoln. The Rev. Catherine Kuschel officiated.

Parents of the bride are Bob and Karen Borgheiinck of Grand Island. Jim and Carole Essink, also of Grand Island, are parents of the groom.

The couple are both 1996 graduates of Grand Island Senior High.

The bride received a bachelor of science degree in social work from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2000. She is attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha master's program in social work.

The groom received associate degrees in electrical technology in 1998 and electrical mechanical in 1999 from Southeast Community College at Milford. He works for HTI Plastics in Lincoln as an automation specialist.
