Morganne and Phou Manivong
United in marriage Dec. 22, 2007, at the historic Grand Theatre in Grand Island were Morganne Sass and Phou Manivong, both of Grand Island. Officiating was the Rev. Lonnie Logan.
Parents of the bride are Douglas and Teri Sass of Grand Island. Soubanh and Kongmany Souvannasoth, also of Grand Island, are parents of the groom.
Allison Sass of Grand Island was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shaina Penner, Julia Terry and Danielle Sass and bridesmatron was Amanda Goodwin. Personal attendant was Jenna Leeper.
Best man was Phouk Manivong of Grand Island. Phoukham Manivong, Sonephet Manivong, Justin Goodwin and Luke Anderson were groomsmen. Ushers were Anousone Souvannasoth, Kaisone Souvannasoth, Oudon Souvannasoth, Hugo Mendez, Oren Walcott and Brian Stiegemeier.
Music was provided by violinist Lindsey Shoemaker and soloist Mike Lambelet. Attending the guest book were Amy James and Amy Townsend.
Special guests were grandparents Wayne and Doris Sass, Derald and Jean Stalnaker and Khiene Manivong.
A reception at the Interstate Holiday Inn followed the ceremony. Host couples were Dave and Peggy Townsend, Dan and Sue Sass and Bob and Sheryl Clymer. After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple live in Grand Island.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Grand Island Senior High. She will receive a bachelor of business administration degree with emphasis in accounting and management from the University of Nebraska at Kearney this May. She is a sales assistant for Wealth Management Group, Wells Fargo Investments, LLC.
The groom graduated from GISH in 1998. He received a bachelor of business administration degree with emphasis in real estate from UNK in 2002. He is a personal banker for Wells Fargo Bank.
