HASTINGS Ned Goertzen netted 24 points to lead Heartland (19-2) to a 74-71 overtime win over Thayer Central in the semifinals of the C2-2 subdistrict.

Heartland (19-2) held a 12-point lead entering the fourth quarter, but a spirited comeback by Thayer Central (16-10) tied the game at 58-all at the end of regulation.

Kellen Goertzen added 17 for the Huskies, while Eric Ehmen chipped in with 13.

Heartland advances to the subdistrict final on Thursday against Deshler.

Bryan LeZotte paced Rock County with 19 points, while Craig Hall added 17.
