HASTINGS The Adams County Fairfest will once again bring several country music stars to Hastings in July.
The fair's organizers, the Adams County Agricultural Society, announced the fair's entertainment this week.
"Fairfest 2008 has one of the strongest country lineups this summer right here in Hastings," said Sandy Himmelberg, manager of the Adams County Fairgrounds.
Headlining the entertainment will be veteran country music singer Blake Shelton with a show at 8:30 p.m. July 25. Two newer stars, Jason Aldean and Jack Ingram, will perform on July 23 and July 24, respectively.
A Professional Bull Riders event will once again be held at 7 p.m. July 26, and a demolition derby will take place at 5 p.m. July 27.
The fair itself will run from July 23 to July 27, but its festivities will begin the previous Saturday, July 19, with the annual fair parade through downtown Hastings.
The fair will also include free music, a stiltwalker, a kids' pedal tractor pull, monster truck rides and the State Auctioneering Contest, as well as 4-H exhibits.
