MINDEN A well-balanced Kenesaw squad defeated Red Cloud 51-40 to win the Class D-1, Subdistrict 4 title Thursday night.
Evan Bender led the Blue Devils (13-7_ with 17 points, while Taylor Jacobitz added 15 and Trevor Stickels 14.

CENTRAL CITY Neil Kilchriste and Nik Dukat combined for 54 points to lead Palmer to a 63-49 win over Osceola in the finals of the D1-5 subdistrict.
Kilchriste hit 15 field goals and three free throws for a game-high 33 points for the Tigers (20-2). Dukat added 21 for Palmer.
Cody Stowe and Seth Peterson led Osceola (14-7) with 14 points apiece. Teammate Landon Hayes added 11.

The Bears (14-4) trailed by seven points at halftime, but outscored the Longhorns 32-23 in the second half.
Derek Snyder and Brian Bird led Burwell (14-7) with 14 points each.

ALBION Shavontae Samuels poured in 31 points and Justin Fitchnert added 10 to lead St. Edward to a 51-42 victory over Cedar Rapids in the D2-4 subdistrict championship.
The defending Class D-2 state champion Beavers (19-3) outscored the Tigers in each quarter to post the win.
Brandon Loeffler led Cedar Rapids (9-11) with 13 points, while Evan McIntyre and Mark Swerczek each added 10.
