Play of the Day

How ironic that we ended up talking with trainer Boyd Caster earlier this week.

Caster happened to be in the racing secretary's office at Will Rogers Downs in Oklahoma.

We mention this because Caster's Tonight Rainbow is an obvious pick in today's eighth race, the $10,000-added Grasmick. The 2007 Grasmick winner, the Rainbow loves Fonner Park, and runs great off a layoff.

Those two factors alone make his an obvious pick.

Give us $50 to win on Tonight Rainbow. We'll also play a $10 exacta with Tonight Rainbow on top of First Class Brass.

Starting balance: $1,500

Friday's result: We had another low-price winner with Tammy, who returned $3 to win on our $50-win bet. We net a profit of $25.

Current balance: $1,525
