A card shower has been requested by the children of Melvin "Bud" Edwards in honor of his 80th birthday.

His family includes six daughters, Jesse Huffman of Rio Rancho, N.M., Echo Edwards of Grand Island, Sandy Moberg of Axtell, Lisa Hartzell of Boynton Beach, Fla., Linda Edwards of Staley, N.C., and Amy Edwards of Julian, N.C., and one son, Mike Edwards of Austin, Texas. He has 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Edwards was born Feb. 27, 1928, in Ord.
