In honor of the 80th birthday of Doris Jones of Burwell, her family will be hosting an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Burwell Plaza community room in Burwell.

Her family includes Norven and Judy Hood of Pleasanton, Shirley and Mikel Stavnes of Hibbing, Minn., Vic and Karolyn Kovanda of Bellevue and Nancy Freeman of Eustis. She has 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jones was born Feb. 29, 1928, in Taylor.
