Planning to be married May 31, 2008, at United Methodist Church in Stromsburg are Keely E. Thornton and Peter L. Langer, both of Norfolk.

Parents of the bride-elect are Debra Thornton and William and Kathy Thornton, all of Grand Island. Lawrence Langer of Alvo and Susan Wilkinson of Marshalltown, Iowa, are parents of the future groom.

Miss Thornton graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1999. She received a bachelor of science in psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May 2004. In 2005, she received an associate degree in massage therapy from the Myotherapy Institute. She is a self-employed massage therapist for Bora Bora Salon and a customer service representative for Bank of the West.

Langer is facility manager for Alter Metal Recycling.
