To reduce the calories in this bake, use light mayonnaise, nonfat milk and reduced-fat cheese. Another option is to reduce the amount of cheese used for a topping. For step-by-step directions on how to prepare this recipe, check the video at www.theindpendent.com/simplycooking.

Turkey Club Bake

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Cooking time: 15 minutes

2 cups Original Bisquick mix

13 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing

13 milk

2 cups cubed cooked turkey

2 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)

6 sliced bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled (can use ready-to- serve bacon, just follow package instructions to prepare)

14 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing

1 large tomato, chopped (1 cup)

1 cup shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese (4 ounces)

Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease cookie sheet.

Stir Bisquick, 13 cup mayonnaise and the milk in medium bowl until soft dough forms. Press dough into 12-by-8-inch rectangle on cookie sheet. Bake dough 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Mix turkey, onions, bacon and 14 cup mayonnaise. Spoon over crust to within 14 inch of edges. Sprinkle with tomato and cheese. Bake 5 to 6 minutes or until mixture is hot and cheese is melted.

Makes 6 servings.
