For $500, Michael Van Boening was released from the York County Jail after his fourth arrest for driving under the influence since the end of January.
His 10 percent of $5,000 bond was posted Sunday, said Nebraska State Patrol Capt. Chris Kolb.
Van Boening, 23, of 335 S. Plum St., was arrested early Sunday morning in York County after a trooper observed him driving on Highway 81 with only one working headlight. The trooper stopped Van Boening in the parking lot of a hotel near the Interstate 80/York interchange, Kolb said.
The trooper smelled alcohol on Van Boening's breath and gave him a field sobriety test and a preliminary breath test, both of which he failed. Van Boening was taken to the hospital in York for a blood test before being booked into the jail there, Kolb said.
No charge had been filed against Van Boening in York as of Monday afternoon.
This is the latest in a string of arrests for Van Boening. He has been arrested twice in Hall County and once in Hamilton County since Jan. 20.
He's charged in Hall County with DUI and felony child abuse for a Jan. 20 incident in which he was stopped while driving drunk with his 8-month-old daughter in the vehicle. He's also charged with misdemeanor child abuse for leaving the same baby home alone on Jan. 26 and with DUI for a Feb. 2 incident.
He was released on his own recognizance after the first two arrests and was ordered not to have any contact with the baby, who is now in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services. A 10 percent of $2,500 bond was posted after the Feb. 2 arrest, according to court documents.
He's scheduled to be in court at 10:30 a.m. March 5 regarding all three cases.
Van Boening is scheduled to be in Hamilton County Court today on a charge of DUI stemming from a Feb. 10 stop in that county. He posted a 10 percent of $5,000 bond after that arrest.
