Hastings leaders to discuss new power plant

HASTINGS George Anderson, chairman of the Hastings Board of Public Works, will discuss the city's new Whelen 2 Energy Center on Wednesday.

Anderson will speak about the under-construction power plant as part of a town hall meeting with Mayor Matt Rossen at 7 p.m. at Espresso America, 320 S. Burlington.

Anderson and Rossen will discuss the plant's design and the opportunities for a new local power supply.
