Wedding vows will be exchanged between Heather Wehrle and Kip Hovie on April 26, 2008, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Grand Island.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mike and Ruth Fletcher of Grand Island and the late John Gregory Wehrle. Heather graduated in 2002 from Grand Island Northwest High. She received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and the Alegent Health School of Radiologic Technology in 2006. In 2007, she received a bachelor of science in radiation therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center at Omaha. She is a radiation therapist for Alegent Health's Immanual Medical Center in Omaha.

The prospective groom is the son of John and Barb Hovie of Grand Island. Kip is a 2001 graduate of Grand Island Northwest High. In 2005, he received a bachelor of science degree in biology from Doane College. He is an engineering recruiter for Aerotek, Inc. in Omaha.
