AURORA < A traffic stop in Hamilton County on Friday led to the seizure of 3 1/2 pounds of cocaine.
Antonio Mendoza, 39, of San Jose, Calif., was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to deliver after he was stopped on Interstate 80 near mile marker 324.
Mendoza was pulled over in a four-door Toyota by a Nebraska state trooper at about 9:30 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the Nebraska State Patrol.
After a search of the vehicle, the trooper found the cocaine in the passenger-side air bag.
Mendoza was being held in the Hamilton County Jail as of Monday afternoon.
