YORK < A York dentist has been accused of illicitly prescribing painkillers.
The Nebraska State Patrol says an investigation by the Rural Apprehension Program Drug Task Force led to the arrest of 48-year-old Mark Brouillette.
His office was searched on a warrant Wednesday, and Brouillette was arrested for suspicion of illegally distributing prescription pain medication to several different people.
Patrol spokeswoman Deb Collins says the investigation is continuing.
She says the multicounty task force was aided by the State Patrol, the York police, the state Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
