Democratic U.S. Senate candidates Scott Kleeb of Hastings and Tony Raimondo of Columbus will speak in Grand Island on March 29.

The speeches will be part of the Third Congressional District Organization of the Nebraska Democratic Party.

The meeting begins at 11 a.m. at the United Veterans' Club, 1914 W. Capital Avenue.

Democratic Senate candidates Larry Marvin of Fremont and James Bryan Wilson of Lincoln are also invited.

The Democratic winner of the Senate race in the May 13 primary race will face the Republican primary winner in the November general election. The two Republican candidates are former U.S. Ag Secretary and former Nebraska Gov. Mike Johanns, and Schuyler businessman Pat Flynn.

Kelly Renee Roseberg is the Nebraska Party candidate for Senate, while Steven Larrick is the Green Party candidate.

Also invited to attend the Democratic meeting are Third District Congressional candidates Jay Stoddard of Grand Island and Paul Spatz of Osmond. They are competing for the Democratic nomination to stand against either incumbent Rep. Adrian Smith or Jeremiah Ellison of Grand Island, who are vying for the Republican nomination.
