Planning to be married March 29, 2008, at the United Church of Christ in Crete are Erin Brandt of Sprague and Scott Brooks of Heflin, Ala.

Parents of the bride-elect are David and Karen Brandt of Sprague. Jim and Ruth Brooks of Heflin are parents of the future groom.

Miss Brandt graduated from Crete High School in 1996. She received a bachelor's degree in middle school education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in May 2001. She is pursuing her master's degree in curriculum and instruction from Doane College. She works for Grand Island Public Schools.

Brooks is a 1996 graduate of Cleburne County High in Alabama. In 2000, he received a degree in animal and dairy science from Auburn University in Alabama. He is a United States Department of Agriculture meat grader.
