PUEBLO, Colo. < Colorado State-Pueblo capped its impressive upset run through the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament, knocking off second-seeded Nebraska-Kearney 70-52 Saturday night in the championship game.
The Lopers trailed by 10 points at halftime and never managed to get closer than 57-50 in the second half.
Amy Mathis and Melissa Hinkley of UNK were named to the RMAC all-tournament team.
Despite the loss, the Lopers (26-6) will receive a NCAA Tournament bid. Official pairings will be announced Sunday night.
