Nebraska player to be arraigned in alleged sex assuault
LINCOLN (AP) Nebraska football player Andy Christensen is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Lancaster County Court in connection with an alleged sexual assault at a downtown bar.
The senior offensive lineman remained in the county jail Monday.
A 23-year-old Lincoln woman reported that Christensen approached her from behind, reached underneath her clothing and sexually assaulted her about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Lincoln police said.
Christensen was arrested outside the Brass Rail bar on suspicion of first-degree sexual assault, resisting arrest and failure to comply.
Nebraska coach Bo Pelini has suspended Christensen indefinitely.
