No. 15 Nebraska women gymnasts down Iowa State on Senior Night



LINCOLN ‹ No. 15 Nebraska sent its seniors out in style with a 196.175-194.15 win over Iowa State Friday night at the Devaney Center. In front of 2,072 fans, NU scored a 49.0 or better on all four events, and a pair of Huskers swept all five individual event titles.

Senior Emily Parsons stole the show by capturing four event wins, including a season-high 39.525 for the all-around title. Parsons also finished first on vault (9.95), beam (9.875) and floor (9.925).

Nebraska returns to action next Friday, March 21 with a quadrangular at Penn State with Rutgers and Maryland. Competition is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. (CST) at Rec Hall in State College, Pa.
