Kearney ran away with the team title while scoring 189 points, 136 more than runner-up Bellevue West.

Tyler Cline led Grand Island by taking third in the discus (129 feet, 4 inches).

Zach Christensen finished fifth in the 55-meter dash (6.83 seconds). Nathan Cheek was sixth (6.93).

Brandon Grotzky took fifth in the 55-meter hurdles (8.37).

The Islanders also got a third-place finish in the 3,200 relay (8:58.64) and a fifth in the 1,600 relay (3:47.08).

The Grand Island girls did not compete in the meet.
