Martha Maddox of Edgewood Vista in Grand Island, formerly of Palmer, will celebrate her 100th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at First Christian Church, 2400 W. 14th St., in Grand Island.
The event will be hosted by her seven children and their families. Her children are Gwen and Allen Main of Mission, Texas, Richard and Beverly Maddox of Palmer, Marlene and Delbert Wiegert of St. Libory, Betty and Daryl Holt of Scotia, Shirley and Ed Boltz of Dannebrog, Ramona and Milt Swanson of Minden and Sharon and Paul "Bud" Oakeson of Grand Island. She has 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Martha was born March 25, 1908, in Palmer.
