Leona (Halpin) Thornton will be celebrating her 90th birthday on March 24. In honor of this occasion, a card shower has been requested by her family. A family dinner is planned on the weekend.

Leona was born March 24, 1918, in Greeley County.

Her family includes one son, Ron and Lorie Thornton of Fairfax, Va.; granddaughter, Sarah Piro, her husband Mike and great-grandson Orizio of Colorado Springs; and grandsons, Sean Thornton of Citrus Heights, Calif., and Charlie Thornton of Las Vegas, N.M.
