Hoeser joins Miracle-Ear in Grand Island
Kaylene Hoeser recently joined the staff of Miracle-Ear of Grand Island as a consultant.
As a consultant, Hoeser will help people recognize hearing-loss issues and provide them with proper assistance.
Hoeser is licensed in Nebraska as a hearing aid instrument dispenser and fitter. She is also a member of the Nebraska Hearing Society and the International Hearing Society.

Central District Health Department hires environmental health specialist
Mike Hackworth, registered environmental health specialist/registered sanitarian, has joined the Central District Health Department as an environmental health specialist.
Hackworth has a bachelor of science from Eastern Kentucky University and is a member of the National Environmental Health Association. He will assist the department with public health inspections and environmental health duties.
The Central District Health Department serves the citizens of Hall, Hamilton and Merrick counties.
Frontier Home Medical hires Jakubowski
Judy Jakubowski has joined Frontier Home Medical as an invoice specialist.
As part of her duties, she will perform data entry and work with customers.
Jakubowski has a high school diploma and 16 years of experience working in Grand Island's home care, billing and insurance field. She also worked in several doctors' offices before transitioning to home health care.

Credit Management hires three
Brandi Bottorff, Tessa Hermanson and Jennifer White have joined Credit Management of Grand Island.
Bottorff will work as an assistant clerical supervisor. She and her family recently relocated to the area from Wahoo and plan to reside in Aurora. She is a 2000 graduate of the Nebraska Methodist Nursing College and rejoins the work force after being a stay-at-home mom for several years. She will be responsible for assisting with supervising the clerical crew, consisting of 23 employees.
Hermanson joins the company as an attorney and will be working with all of the company's legal matters. She received her bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2001 and her juris doctorate from Creighton University School of Law in 2005. Prior to joining the team, she was an attorney for Cline Williams Law Firm in Omaha for three years. She and her family reside in Grand Island.
White joins the company as a new business verifier. She is a 2004 graduate of Grand Island Senior High. Prior to working for Credit Management, she was employed at Best Buy and Cabela's. She will be responsible for verification of business coming from the clients.
Credit Management is an account recovery agency with offices in Grand Island and Kearney. The company now employs more than 130 people and serves more than 1,000 clients across the Midwest.
Barb Glaze joins Jagged Edge Salon
Jagged Edge Salon in Grand Island has hired Barb Glaze as a stylist.
She will be responsible for family haircuts, perming, coloring, highlighting and facial waxing.
Glaze received her license from Joseph's College of Beauty in Omaha and has actively attended hair shows and classes to further her education.
She previously worked as a stylist for Cost Cutters North and has worked for local salons for 12 years.

Miller receives Yamuna Body Rolling certification
HASTINGS Teresa Miller of T'Dance School of Performing Arts in Hastings has become a certified practitioner of Yamuna Body Rolling.
The body rolling technique is a fitness and therapy practice that combines healing, wellness and injury prevention. It uses 6- to 10-inch balls to strengthen, tone and realign the body. It can also help fix a number of problems, such as sciatica, herniated discs, fibromyalgia and back, neck or shoulder pain.
Miller has also been trained in Yumana Foot Fitness, a component of body rolling that uses small, round plastic props to prevent and treat foot problems, such as bunions and plantar fasciitis.
Miller, a dance studio instructor for 22 years, said she took the certification program after taking Yamuna Body Rolling classes in New York.
T'Dance School of Performing Arts offers group and private classes in Yamuna Body Rolling and Foot Fitness. The school also offers a full range of dance classes for students age 3 to adult.
Hill earns arborist certification
ARCADIA Loup Valley Tree Service had a certified arborist on staff as of Jan. 29.
Dave Hill of the tree service is the only certified arborist in the area of Valley, Sherman, Garfield, Howard and Greeley counties, according to Nebraska Arborist Association published data.
Hill is a member of the Nebraska Arborist Association and International Society of Arboriculture.

Lockhart receives Champion President's Award
Kevin Lockhart of Genesis Homes, a member of the Champion family of builders in York, was presented with Champion's West Region President's Award on Feb. 21 during a banquet at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
In addition to the award, Lockhart, who resides in Grand Island, earned membership in the company's Platinum Club for 2008. He was one of 25 Champion zone managers and sales managers nationwide honored for exceptional sales and management performance.
The Platinum Club program was developed to identify and recognize those individuals who excelled in sales and zone management performance during the previous year. Membership in the club lasts for one year and places those receiving the award in the top 20 percent of all Champion sales professionals.
This year, the company added a new level of recognition, the President's Award, for those individuals who made the most significant regional contribution to builder/developer sales and growth in nontraditional distribution.

Promes honored at Staab Management convention
Jim Promes, area coach, was honored for his selection to attend the International Star Tracks celebration.
Star Tracks is scheduled for March 28 through 30 in Las Vegas and will honor the "best of the best" in the Pizza Hut system. Promes works with Pizza Hut locations in Grand Island, St. Paul, Aurora, Minden, Gothenburg, McCook and Cozad.
The honor came during the Staab Management Co.'s annual convention Feb. 24 through 27 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
Staab Management, with headquarters in Grand Island, owns 56 Pizza Hut restaurants and one Pizza Hut/Taco Bell/Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in South Dakota, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska.
J.J. Salon stylists attend Paul Mitchell conference
J.J. Chmelka, owner, and Jo Manolidis, both stylists at J.J. Salon, attended the American Beauty Show and Hair Olympics in Chicago earlier this month.
Chmelka and Manolidis perform all aspects of styling, color, cutting and perming. They have attended Paul Mitchell Academies and J Beverly Hills Hair Cutting Academies in past years. The two are members of the National Cosmetology Association.
