St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island will be the setting April 5, 2008, when Tisha Tjaden and Joel Smith, both of Grand Island, are joined in matrimony.

Wesley Tjaden of Alda and Karen and Robert Hoover of Grand Island are parents of the bride-elect. Parents of the future groom are Jim and Karen Smith and Cindi and John Deveney, all of Giltner.

Miss Tjaden graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1997. She is a clerk for St. Francis Medical Center.

Smith graduated in 1996 from Burlington High School in Burlington, Kan. He works for Del Com as a data technician.
