North Loup to host prescribed burn school Tuesday

Two area workshops will be held for landowners interested in learning how to burn safely. The prescribed burn schools will be held in North Loup on Tuesday and in Gothenburg on Thursday.

Some of the topics to be addressed are CRP renovation, grasslands management and cedar control.

Both workshops will be with registration from 8:30 to 9 a.m. The schools will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with lunch provided. Burn demonstrations will follow within two weeks of the workshop, dependent on the weather. Registration for landowners is $10.
