Coming off shoulder surgery that forced him to miss the entire basketball season, Moravec won the 55-meter dash (6.79 seconds), the 200 (24.42), the 55 hurdles (8.13) and the long jump (20 feet, 5 1/4 inches). The Crusader senior set a school record in the preliminaries for the 55 hurdles, finishing in 8.04 seconds.

"It was a really great day for Brent, especially being out of competition for so long due to his injury," GICC coach Keith Kester said. "He just did a great job."

Moravec's performance helped GICC finish fifth in the boys team race with 47 points.

Tali Fredrickson paced the Crusader girls, winning the 55 hurdles in 9.16 seconds. GICC was eighth in the girls team race with 22 points.

Wood River captured the boys team title 96-87 over second-place Elm Creek. Jeremy Uhrich (400), Jose Carlos (3,200) and Tim Rennau (high jump) all won gold medals for the Eagles.
