In honor of the 80th birthday of Vera Shirley, her family is requesting a card shower.

Vera was born March 27, 1928, in Curtis.

Her family includes her husband Bill of Phillips; and children, Connie and Diller Leaman of Lakeview, Ariz., Don and Deb Shirley of Sparta, Mo., Bob and Detta Shirley of Maywood, Linda and Bob "Doc" Humrich of Doniphan, Debbie Williams of Grand Island, Mike Shirley of Phillips and the late Pat Edwardson. She has 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
