Women's league at Jackrabbit to meet

The women's league at Jackrabbit Run Golf Course will hold its annual spring meeting at 7 p.m. on April 2 at the club house.

The Wednesday morning and evening league will start practice play on May 7 with the league starting on May 28.

All women interested in plahing should call the club house at (308) 385-5340 or Marian Sisson at (308) 382-3458.

Deadline approaching for Jackrabbit men's league

The Tuesday and Thursday Men's league sign-up deadlline is April 1 at Jackrabbit Run Golf Course.

The leagues are two-man teams and they start on April 29 and May 1 and run for 16 weeks.

Huskers finish 14th at Ron Moore Invitational

GOODYEAR, Ariz. The Nebraska men's golf team finished out play at the Ron Moore Invitational Sunday in 14th place. The Huskers' score of 880 was 20 strokes better than their previous best team score in 2007-08.

Freshman Andrew Wyatt led the Huskers with his third top-20 finish in four spring tournaments. The Huskers only had two top-20 finishers in the entire fall season. Wyatt's final round 74 gave him a two-under-par 214 for the weekend, a career best.

Mike Coatman tied for 34th overall, three strokes behind Wyatt at 217, also a career-best score. Trent Price also got in on the action. Price scored a 224, the best of his junior campaign, and finished tied for 57th.

Mark Pillen tied for 70th with a 228. Chris Bruening shot 229 and finished tied for 71st.

Kansas State won the team title with an 845. Troy Merritt of Boise State won the individual title with a score of 200.

The Huskers resume competition Monday, Mar. 31st at the Diet Pepsi/Shocker Classic in Wichita, Kan.

Hastings College tennis schedule changed

HASTINGS The Hastings College Men's and Women's Tennis match scheduled with Doane College on Friday, April 4 in Hastings has been moved to Crete.

The two teams will play at Crete High School. The women will start at 1 p.m. and the men will follow at 4:30 p.m.
