OXFORD, Miss. < Nebraska's postseason run came to an end Monday night with an 85-75 overtime loss at Mississippi in second-round play of the MasterCard National Invitation Tournament.

Zach Graham scored 10 of his 14 points in the extra five-minute period to help advance the Rebels (23-10) in the a quarterfinal matchup Wednesday night against Virginia Tech. Nebraska, which made 19 of 26 free-throw attempts in the game, was 2-of-6 at the line in OT, and finished its season 20-13.

Nebraska coach Doc Sadler said in a postgame radio interview that his team was hampered by the illness of Sek Henry and Ryan Anderson as the Huskers suffered several defensive lapses. After holding Charlotte to 48 points in a first-round win, NU allowed 70 points in regulation as Mississippi shot 52.5 percent from the field.

"You've got to give Ole Miss credit, but we didn't defend like we've been defending," Sadler said. "Ryan and Sek got a little virus today after shoot-around and just didn't have the zip and zap that we need to have.

"Ole Miss is a good basketball team, but we don't give up 85 points and 40 points the first half."

Chris Warren led Ole Miss with 18 points. Eniel Polynice added 15 points, while Kenny Williams and Graham each scored 14 for the Rebels, who improved to 16-2 at home this season.

Nebraska got 18 points and 10 rebounds from senior center Aleks Maric in his final game as a Husker. Sadler said Maric and last year's seniors have meant a lot to him in his first two years with the program.

"I can't be prouder of our team," Sadler said. "I told the team in there that Marcus Perry, Charles Richardson and Aleks Maric have set the ground work we couldn't ask more from those three guys and it's solid.

"Now, it's our job as coaches and it's our job as guys returning to build on what those guys have left us in the last two years and I think this team will do that."

Ade Dagunduro added 16 points for Nebraska, which shot 43.9 percent from the floor and dipped to 1-3 in overtime games this season. Steve Harley had 14 points and Jay-R Strowbridge finished with 11.

Ole Miss led 40-36 at halftime before Nebraska rallied to take a 53-52 lead on two free throws by Strowbridge with 11:14 remaining in regulation. The Huskers led again at 58-57 on a Harley jumper with 7:40 left in the second half.

NU forced overtime when Dagunduro scored on a feed from Strowbridge with 40 seconds left in regulation, knotting the score at 70-70.

Mississippi owned the overtime period. After Maric's free throw cut Nebraska's deficit to 77-75 with 2:21 left, the Huskers never scored again.
