Lawney Rathman of Grand Island will be celebrating his 80th birthday on April 9. In honor of this occasion, his family request a card shower.

His family includes his wife Sharleen; and children, John and Dayna Rathman of Bartlesville, Okla., Jim and Kathy Rathman and Jennifer and Richard Klanecky, all of Grand Island, and Jeff Rathman of Columbus. He has nine grandchildren.

Mr. Rathman was born April 9, 1928, in Cairo.
