The family of Fred Rauert of Aurora will be hosting an open house in honor of his 95th birthday. The event is planned from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at the Eagles Club, 213 N. Sycamore St., in Grand Island.

Fred was born April 13, 1913, on a farm northwest of Grand Island.

His family includes Roger and Berniece Luthy of Phillips and Glenn and Suzanne Rauert of Aurora. He has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
