OMAHA Joseph M. "Joe" John has joined Marcotte Wealth Management as a financial planner serving Omaha and Central Nebraska.

Prior to joining Marcotte, John spent 18 years as a financial planner for Prudential Financial in Omaha.

John earned his Charted Life Underwriter designation in 1995 and his Chartered Financial Consultant in 2001 from American College in Bryn Mawr, Pa. In 2006, he received designations as a Registered Health Underwriter and Registered Employee Benefits Consultant from the same institution.

John is a perennial qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, which is focused on improving its members' knowledge, ethics, service to clients and productivity.

John earned a bachelor of science in business administration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

McCain Foods promotes Dickinson to maintenance manager

Barry Dickinson has been promoted to the position of maintenance manager at the company's Grand Island facility.

Dickinson began working for McCain Foods in Grand Island in 1988 as a maintenance foreman and was promoted to a maintenance supervisor in 1993. In 2002, he was promoted to boiler/refrigeration supervisor.

Dickinson brings 23 years of valuable, broad-based experience in the food manufacturing industry to the maintenance manager position.

McCain has headquarters in Florenceville, New Brunswick, Canada, and is the world's largest manufacturer of frozen french fries and appetizer snacks. With more than 60 production facilities on six continents, the company employs more than 20,000 people worldwide.

Wormuth attends physical therapy conference

Chris Wormuth, clinical director of Excel Physical Therapy, 603 N. Diers Ave. Suite 1, attended a physical therapy conference in Lincoln last weekend.

The class, titled Manual Therapy for the Cervical Spine, was presented by the International Spine and Pain Institute.

Wormuth has been clinical director of Excel in Grand Island for eight years. He earned his doctor of physical therapy from Creighton University in 1996 and is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist. Wormuth is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association.
