ACTS OF KINDNESS
Thanks for help with GICC musical
From March 28 through 30, the gym at Grand Island Central Catholic was transformed to a bite of the Big Apple, as our GICC "Guys and Dolls" worked, sang and danced their hearts out to wonderful audiences!
Thank you to the following businesses and individuals for your contributions which led to the outstanding production we enjoyed: The Independent, Brad Fossberg and KRGI, Laurie Sindt of ArtistiCuts Salon, Grand Island Little Theatre, Ron's Music, Jeannee Mueller, Lisa Cantrell, Kenny Scheel and Carolyn Spencer. The generosity shared by these individuals and businesses inspired us and our students; we truly couldn't have done this show without you! Thank you to the teachers, staff and administration at GICC, as well as all the parents for your support and encouragement of this year major production.
God blessed us this year with a cast and crew of more than 80 students for this show. We are grateful for the willingness with which they share their gifts and talents you guys rock! And that's a wrap!

Thank you for the free bowling
We would like to thank the kind lady who gave us two free tickets to bowl at West Side Lanes in Grand Island a while back. We are definitely amateurs compared to her and the Monday, Wednesday, Friday afternoon league members, but we have had fun trying! Thanks, too, for letting us watch all of you to get tips to make our game better.

Project Hunger Easter Baskets
The Project Hunger Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to thank all the individuals, organizations, companies, and volunteers that helped make the thirteenth annual Easter Basket Extravaganza a phenomenal success. A very special THANK YOU goes out to the following organizations; Grand Island Rural Fire Department for participating thirteen years running, Copycat Printing for off setting the printing costs, Third City Christian Church, GI Loan, and Wal-Mart South for the raffle items, and GI Family Radio for getting the word out about the Easter Basket Extravaganza event.
The overwhelming success of this event was due to the support and help of so many individuals and supporting businesses mentioning them all is not possible. This year we gathered three hundred fourteen Easter Baskets, which generated just over $17,000 dollars. Annually, Project Hunger spends between one and two thousand dollars per week assisting the food pantry. Spring and summer are busy times for everyone including the food pantry. Raising these funds now will help the local food pantry immensely in the upcoming months as traditionally donations decrease during this time of year. Therefore, every dollar that can be generated now will help fill the food pantry shelves in times greatest need.
Again, we would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who donated, helped, or was in anyway involved. God Bless You!

Thanks for lending a hand
When we left Hansen Medical last week, I went to get the car out of the parking lot and a nice lady came out of the clinic and helped my husband out to the car, as he uses a walker. We didn't get her name, but thanks a million.
