Krisha and Leland Uden

United in marriage Dec. 8, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island were Krisha Sue Niemoth of Grand Island and Leland Henry Uden of Juniata. Pastor Gregory Volzke officiated and scripture reader was Pastor Glen Keylon.

The bride is the daughter of Lois Niemoth of Grand Island and the late Kenneth Niemoth. George and Cora Uden of Juniata are parents of the groom.

Lori Peters of Wood River, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and Joanna Utecht of Fort Wayne, Ind., was maid of honor. Bridesmatrons were Krista Niemoth, sister-in-law of the bride, and Kimberly Uden and Anna Uden, sisters-in-law of the groom. Debra Schinkel and Elizabeth Heidt Kozisek were personal attendants.

Best man was Lynn Lisius of Juniata. Loren and LaVern Uden, brothers of the groom, Steven Peters, brother-in-law of the bride, and Kraig Niemoth, the bride's brother, were groomsmen. Ushering guests were Mike Anderson, Rick Huls, Steve Plambeck, Tony Ruhter and Mark Schutte.

Christy Brumbaugh and Janis Garrett were candlelighters. Cross carrier was Harleigh Lisius.

Flower girls were MaKenzie Peters and Mariah Uden and ringbearers were Rylan Niemoth and Kaden Peters. Carlynn Niemoth and Macie Peters were honorary flower girls and Kevan Peters was honorary ringbearer.

Music was provided by organist Phil Hesterman, flutist Jacky Carnahan, violinists Leslie and Laura Steele, trumpeter Louie Eckhardt and vocalist Joanna Utecht. Beth Schutte and Kelli Vonderfecht were guest book attendants. Wedding coordinator was Adriene Baxter.

Special guest was Eleanor Schinkel, grandmother of the bride.

A reception at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Hastings followed the ceremony. Host couples were Richard and Donna McElvain and Larry and Velda Schutte. Cake servers were Arlene Dockhorn, Diane Plummer, Geraldine Uden and Sherie Aldridge.

After a wedding trip to Maui and Oahu, Hawaii, the couple live in Kenesaw.

The bride is a 1991 graduate of Grand Island Northwest High. She received a bachelor of arts in psychology and behavioral sciences in 1995 from Concordia College at Seward. She received her master's degree in education and community counseling from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She is self-employed as a licensed mental health practitioner.

The groom graduated from Kenesaw High School in 1988. He attended McCook Community College and is self-employed as a farmer/rancher.
