Daryl and Sallie Baxter of Grand Island recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

Daryl and Sallie were united in marriage April 11, 1953, at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Grand Island.

Their family includes five children, Mike and Steve Baxter, both of Grand Island, Scott Baxter of Coppell, Texas, Lisa Baxter of Golden, Colo., and Jeff Baxter of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They have eight grandchildren: Ryan Baxter, Amanda Baxter, Bryce Baxter, Graham Baxter, Jameson Hanson, Alex Baxter, Ben Baxter and Madison Baxter and also one great-grandson, Killian Baxter.
