Adrienne Tranel and Benjamin Davis are planning a Sept. 20, 2008, wedding in Billings, Mont.

Ned and Virginia Tranel of Billings, Mont., are parents of the bride-elect. The prospective groom is the son of Lonnie and Annette Davis of Grand Island and the late Janeth Davis.

Ms. Tranel graduated from Central High School in Billings. She holds a bachelor's degree in English literature and anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis, a master's degree in international relations from the Instituto Universitario in Madrid, Spain, as well as a juris doctorate degree from American University in Washington, D.C.

Davis is a Grand Island Senior High graduate and holds a bachelor's degree in foreign service from Georgetown University, a master's degree in international politics from the University of Chicago and a juris doctorate degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C.

The couple live in Washington, D.C., where Adrienne is a civil rights lawyer for Kator, Parks & Weiser Law Firm. Davis is an advisor for the U.S. Treasury Department, Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.
