United in marriage March 6, 2008, at Always & Forever Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas were Jill Marie Guthrie of Omaha and Philip Dean Nelson of Honey Creek, Iowa. The Rev. Peggy Gutierrez officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Janice Cumpston of Grand Island and the late James Cumpston. She graduated from York High School in 1981 and is a communications specialist for the Nebraska State Patrol.

James and Lenor Nelson of Honey Creek are parents of the groom. He is a 1987 graduate of Honey Creek High and works for Elliot Equipment as a machinist.
